Lonnette P. Hamilton, 75, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2023.
Lonnette was born in 1947 in Berrysville, Ohio.
Preceding her in death were her loving parents, Raymond and Martha (Cox) Phillips.
Lonnette was truthful, generous and the cornerstone of her family. She believed in maintaining strong family traditions, and united us all in the love of her vast embrace. She anchored our family, and she always stayed steadfast in her trust in the Lord. She will be missed every day. Lonnette retired from Hillsboro High School, and was a lifelong member of the Prospect United Methodist Church and the Prospect WSCS. Her faith in our Heavenly Father was strong and unwavering.
Lonnette is survived by her husband, Don Hamilton, of 45 years; daughters, Natalie (Will Shaw) Hamilton of Hillsboro and Allison (Jason) Bentley of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Wells and Hayden Shaw, and Ivan and Isaac Bentley; brother, Jim (Dinah) Phillips of Hillsboro; sister, Yolanda Williamson of Hillsboro; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the Thompson Funeral Home.
