Richard Pfeffer Obituary

Richard "Dick" M. Pfeffer, 86, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at his residence.

He was born in Lewisburg, Ky. on Oct. 28, 1928, the son of the late Louis and Helen (Collins) Pfeffer.

Besides his parents, he was preceded by several brothers and sisters, Ann Mohr, Gertrude Swisshelm, Christine Devine, Frances Manion, Sam Pfeffer, Pat Pfeffer, John Pfeffer, Mary Pfeffer, Martha Pfeffer,Bernard Pfeffer, Joseph Pfeffer, Ignatius Pfeffer, Roger Pfeffer, Betty Mayer, Jane Woodmansee, Helen Wisecup and Donald Pfeffer.

Dick served in the U.S. Army and National Guard, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, a lifetime member of AmVets Post 61 and a Golden Eagle member in Hillsboro 1161.

He is survived by his daughter, Sue Roush of Hillsboro; sister, Barbara (Dale) Davis; two grandchildren, Donovan M. Roush and Eathan L. (Tiffany) Roush; and one great-grandchild, Kain D. Roush.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
