My name is Lisa Shelton. I have been Jerry's hairdresser for the last 35 years and just found out today October 3 that Jerry passed away. I hope this letter gets to somebody in his family so they can know how incredibly sad I am right now. Jerry and I have been such good friends over the years. I was worried because I hadn't heard from him, and called the police and have them go to his house today. They in turn called me back to let me know that he had passed away in July. I have been calling on his cell phone in the last two weeks and when I didn't hear from him, Is when I asked the police to go over as I usually see him every four to five weeks. Jerry was a sweetheart he loves his nieces and nephews. He talked about them all the time. We had a special bond and he could talk about anything with me. I am sending my heartfelt sympathy to the family to let you know he was a sweetheart as well as a talented man. He was very handy around the house and very talented and made his own jewelry. I will miss him terribly. May his soul rest in peace!

Dear family of Jerry,
My deapest sympathy, and sincerest condolences. Jerry and I were very close for three years; 1994, 1995, and 1996.
I just googled Jerry a moment ago, I dont know why, perhaps his kind and talented spirit visited me, and am quite saddened and shocked to learn of Jerry's passing. My parents, now deceased, thought so highly of him. My Mother adored the paintings he did for her, as I cherish the paintings that Jerry did for me while we were together. Though I only knew Irene in her last stage of life, I grew so very fond of Frank, as he did of me, and we joked often. (I still make his "secret" pickles.)
Dear Jerry, I shall always treasure the memories of the relationship that we shared. May you enjoy painting and creating for all eternity.
Peace, love, and serenity to all of you.
Sincerely,
Paul Petit

Gerry, I was really shocked to hear this...you were always a ray of sunshine at Inglis house. I had beautiful chats with you but even more your humor was the best. I know you are flying high because your soul on earth was magnificent!
