James Pastorius Obituary

James M. Pastorius, of Eagleville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 1, 2011, at age 80. He was the son of the late James C. and Evelyn Pastorius. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-five years, Anna Marie (Borzelleca), and their four daughters, sons-in-law and six grandchildren: Kathleen and John DeLawrence, of Collegeville, and daughters Alexandra and Jacqueline; Lisa and Ronan Barrett, of Merion, and sons Brett and Brian Robertson; Evelyn (Lynn) Pastorius and Walt Wardach, of Audubon; Jane and Bob Smith, of Havertown, and their children Cooper and Jessica. In addition to his immediate family James is survived by his sisters Patricia McGuigan (Hugh), Dolores Phillips (Jack), Ann Anasiewicz, and predeceased by Marie Fernandez (Jose) and brother-in-law Henry Anasiewicz.
Jim served his country for four years in the US Navy and during the Korean War prior to marrying Anna Marie. He retired from the Bell Telephone Company (AT&T) after 30 years of service and continued his career as a telephone consultant. He was an active member of his parishes throughout his life at St. Paul's, Norristown, and Visitation BVM, Trooper.
Jim will be remembered as a devoted family man and is most well known for his willingness to help others. There was nothing he couldn't do and was always available to use his talents for family and friends. Jim was most proud of his four daughters and all of their accomplishments. He was a genuine all around nice guy who will be missed dearly by those who loved him and knew him well.
