Richard Gehman Obituary

Richard Gehman passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Norristown, Pa. He was 70. Mr. Gehman worked as a draftsman and architectural designer for Moore Products in Spring House, Pa., until his retirement. He enjoyed good food, watching old movies, riding the waves in the ocean and being with his loved ones. Mr. Gehman was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving as an air traffic controller aboard the USS Enterprise.
Born in Quakertown, Pa. on Feb. 18, 1944, he was a son of the late Jacob and Gertrude (Nyce) Gehman. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 46 years, Margaret "Peg" L. (Rogers) Gehman; a son, Richard "Todd" and Michelle Gehman of Collegeville, Pa.; three daughters, Lisa and Blair Thomas of King of Prussia, Pa., Deborah and Edwin Guie of Plymouth Meeting, Pa., and Lindsay and Kevin Seaner of Harleysville, Pa.; nine grandchildren: Olivia, Grace, Preston, Avery, Matthew, Chloe, Molly, Emmie and Spencer; two brothers, Jacob "Larry" & Emily Gehman and Dr. Donald and Sherry Gehman; two sisters, Loretta and Jerry Umstead and Florence "Floss" and Paul Hoffman; many other loving family members; and a granddog, Bella.
Richard's Funeral Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, Pa. on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd., Suite 150, Blue Bell, Pa. 19422. www.cancer.org
