Lorene Bowling Obituary
Lorene M. Bowling, 94, of Vallejo, passed away on Friday, April 8 at Oakwood Senior Home in Vallejo. Lorene was born in St. Louis, OK to Carl and Daisy Cardwell, and was the oldest of four children.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Ray; parents, and her brothers, Benny and Warner Cardwell. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Phillips of Benicia and Michael Romano; grandchildren, Steven (Alana) Phillips of Prescott, AZ, James (Lisa) Phillips of Sandy, OR; five great grandchildren, Lynea, Jamie, Joshua, Telia, Chloe, and one great-great grandson, Christopher; brother, Leroy Cardwell; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Lorene and Dewey Ray were avid campers, rock hounds, gold panners, and square dancers.
Lorene was actively involved in the PTA; on the board at the Florence Douglas Senior Center of Vallejo, and was a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church in American Canyon.
Lorene was loved by all and was a blessing to everyone she met. She was a true inspiration and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 14, at 2 p.m., at Skyview Memorial Chapel, 200 Rollingwood Drive, Vallejo. Reception will follow at The Gateway, 1315 Military West, Benicia.
Arrangements are entrusted to the direction and care of Skyview Memorial Lawn, 707-644-7474.
