He was an electrician at Mare Island for 16 years before retiring in 1996 and was a member of Local No.2145 I.B.E.W. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, drinking and coin collecting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James V. and Margaret Furco; and a brother Thommas D. Furco.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Maren Furco of Vallejo; stepdaughters, Virginia Anderson of Redding and Rhonda (Layne) Ryan of Vallejo; stepsons, Ron Anderson of Fairfield and Richard (Lorinda) Anderson of Lancaster; sister Joanne Thorton of Vacaville; brothers, James (Marge) Furco of Fairfield and John P. Furco of Dunsmuir; and six grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, Vallejo. Inurnment will be at Sunrise Memorial Cemetery, Vallejo.
