Aaron Joseph Boyt, age 35, of Oceanside, Calif., and formerly of Pittston, Pa. and Moon Township, Pa., died May 13th, 2021 as a result of a motor scooter accident.
Born December 3, 1985 in Sewickley, Pa., he was the youngest son of Margaret Boyt and the late Joseph Boyt. He attended St. James Elementary School, Quigley Catholic High School, Arizona State University, and Luzerne County Community College, earning a degree in music recording technology. A veteran of The United States Marine Corps, he served in Iwakuni, Japan as a combat engineer.
Aaron recorded music, played violin, percussion, and guitar, and enjoyed being a vocal impressionist. In addition to his musical abilities, Aaron was a visual artist, using leather tooling, wood/metal sculpture, and horticulture to achieve his vision.
Aaron was a generous soul who never judged people; he was a helper to his fellow veterans, neighbors, family, and friends. His generosity extended beyond his passing, as he was an organ donor, saving the lives of four people.
In addition to his father, Aaron was preceded in death by his brother, Alex, his grandparents Carmel and Jean Emma, and Joseph and Kay Boyt.
In addition to his mother, Aaron is survived by his brother Zachary, Astoria, N.Y., uncles Charles Emma, Long Beach, CA and David Boyt, Greenville, S.C., aunt Terri Boyt, Pittsburgh, Pa., great aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his beloved dog, Waffles.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 9th, 2021 at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St., Pittston. Interment to follow at St. Rocco's Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with Alex.

I am shocked to hear of Aaron´s passing. He was my first friend in Arizona. Kind and generous just aren´t enough to say... His music and his laugh will always have a place in my heart. I´ll never forget coming back just to see you. Visiting you in VA. Playing your RHCP cover over and over on my disc man whenever I was homesick in AZ. Oh how I wish I could have seen you one last time. See you on the other side
