WAVERLY, N.Y. — Albert Piston, 92, of Waverly, N.Y, formerly of Plymouth, died Nov. 9, 2021. Family and friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth. Parastas service 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul U.C. Church, Plymouth.

Albert was my first cousin and being older than I always in my life. There is a picture of him holding me as a baby in his Graduation Cap and Gown. He was the Big Brother I did not have. Any significant event in my life he was there. We spent a lot of time around the dining room table in my parents house having coffee and conversations. I moved to Colorado, but the bond remained and I always had a place to stay when I came east. He was the family historian when ever I had a question on lineage. He always sent cards and notes for Birthdays and Holidays and when his name showed up on my phone a smile came to my face. I shall miss you my Dear Cousin. Love, JoAnn
