EXETER — Amy S. Simmons, 47, of Exeter, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Pittston on April 10, 1967, she was a daughter of the late Albert Leo and Betty LaBar Simmons.
Amy was the proprietor of the Embroidery Zone, Exeter, and a member of the Kiwanis Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Simmons.
She is survived by her husband, John Kizis, Exeter; sisters, Laura Simmons and Alison Wrubel, Exeter; brother, Mike Chechele, Gilmore, New York; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Kizis-Lokuta Funeral Home, 134 Church St., Pittston. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
