Barbara Figler Obituary
STEWARTSVILLE, N.J. — Barbara Ann Valent Figler, 81, of Stewartsville, N.J., passed away on Feb. 17, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital - Warren campus.
She was born on Sept. 4, 1932, in Plymouth.
Barbara was employed at Warren Hospital as a bookkeeper for many years. Previously, she was employed at Harmony Manor, Harmony Township, N.J., and Union Center National Bank in Union, N.J.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Alpha, N.J., and the St. Mary's Choir for many years. She loved to bake, sew and garden.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Figler, who passed away in 1994 and her brother, Gary Pringle.
She is survived by her children, Susan Shoemaker and her husband, John, Columbia, N.J., Michael Figler and his wife, Suzanne, Pittstown, N.J., David Figler and his wife, Christine, Center Valley, and Christopher Figler and his wife, Robin, Stewartsville, N.J; and brother, Thomas Walent.
Her grandchildren are John Michael Shoemaker, Sarah Shoemaker, Andrew Shoemaker, Kelsey Sollner, Nicole Corvino, Jessica Corvino, Michael Figler, Alison Figler, Samantha Figler and Christopher Figler.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alpha, N.J. Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Finegan Funeral Home, 924 2nd Ave., Alpha, N.J. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Alpha.
