WHITE HAVEN — Barbara Jean Keil, 73, of White Haven, died on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Lutz Dixon and was a graduate of Crestwood High School, Class of 1966. Barbara was a dispatcher for Northeast Transfer prior to retirement and enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, camping, hiking, fishing and anything outdoors.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, William; infant son, Steven Keil; son, Kevin Keil and brothers, David and James Dixon.
Barbara is survived by her devoted children, daughters, Annette (Gabriel) Acker, of Wapwallopen; Heidi (Rodney) Spencer, of Troy, Ill.; Cindy Keil, of White Haven; sons, Keith (Zona) Keil, of Mountain Top; William (Amber) Keil Jr., of White Haven; Jeffrey Keil, of White Haven and Christopher (Amy) Keil, of White Haven; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, William, Paul and John Dixon, all of White Haven; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, from the Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc., White Haven, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick's Church, White Haven, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Kloton officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home and Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.
