NILES - Barbara Walkden, 67, of Niles, died on January 8 in Niles.
She was born on July 20, 1949 to Richard H. and Bernice Walkden of Buchanan, MI.
Her father, Richard H Walkden, and a brother, Richard A. Walkden, preceded her in death. Surviving family members are her mother, Bernice Walkden, a brother, Jack (Nedra) Walkden of Niles, and two sisters, Becky (Dan) Cauffman of Brookfield, WI, and Jeanne Walkden of South Bend, IN.
Ms. Walkden has been cremated and the family will gather at a later date for a memorial.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be given to the Walkden Family Scholarship through Michigan Gateway Community Foundation, 111 Days, Buchanan, MI 49107. Online condolences may be made at www.hovenfunerals.com.

Our condolences to the Walkden family on the loss of Bob Ann. She was a mentor and friend for 29 years. Bob Ann was widely known and well respected in her profession for her intellect and her passion for quality and service. I hope it is some solace to know she trained a generation of professionals who carry on her high standards.
