Charles M. "Chuck" Robbins II passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, at University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.
Born to Charles and Marguerite Robbins of Kingston, Pa., Chuck graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School in 1969, where he discovered his passion for musical theater, starring in lead roles in the school's annual productions.
A proud member of the Actors' Equity Association since 1971, Chuck performed with the Kenley Players and appeared in professional productions, most notably the national tour of John Brown's Body, performing alongside Rock Hudson, Claire Trevor and Leif Erickson—whom Chuck understudied and ultimately replaced in the tour's final performances.
Chuck pursued higher education, earning a B.A. in theater from Wilkes University, and an M.A. in theater from UCLA. He also completed postgraduate studies in architecture at USC.
His professional career in marketing and advertising took him around the world, with colleagues who became lifetime close friends. He began with Grey Advertising in Manhattan, then served as account supervisor for Horizon Meamco Advertising, managing campaigns in the Middle East and Japan. He led as director of marketing for the National Association of Purchasing Management and director of marketing and advertising for the global Visa Travelers Cheques division of Barclays Bank PLC. His final professional role before retirement was chief marketing officer and vice president of marketing for the Municipal Credit Union of New York City.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved dog and faithful companion, Oscar.
He is survived by his sister, Judith Anne Robbins of Ellicott City, Md.; dear friend, Catherine Baumann-Hecht, of Kingston, Pa.; and his "unofficial adopted daughter," Gwyneth Hecht, of Tinton Falls, N.J.
Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Chuck's memory to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411, or at www.griffinpondanimalshelter.com.

My sincere condolences, I have fond memories of Chuck coming into Cosenzas since I was a child . He was fond of our spaghetti with the works ! He and my father spoke often and I had a tremendous amount of respect for him . He was a true gentleman and kind man . He could captivate you with his smile alone . Rest in peace and may you all find comfort knowing you were so blessed to have him .
In kindness & friendship,
Pam Masi & family and the Cosenzas gang
