I never got to meet Dan in person, just by phone, but I knew his heart. He would talk to me as though he knew me all our lives. He would let me know how the girls were doing, and what was happening with the family. I felt the compassion, humor, and love that he was all about. I know how much love he had for you, Melissa, Katie and the kids. To him you were is world. In my mind and in my heart he will always be my brother-in-law and his love will always be here for you. God Bless.

Dan was more than just a father to me. He provided many happy years to my mother, my children were his grandchildren and he was their "Pop Pop". You hurt one of them.. watch out. We had good times and bad but he never stopped loving me and never turned his back on me. Car trouble? He was there. Short on cash? He was there. A hug or kind words when everything was going wrong? He was there! I will miss him more than anyone will ever know. A BIG part of us was suddenly taken away. That was my moms other half and a damn good one at that. He cared for her and took care of her and loved her unconditionally. For that i am forever appreciative. Thank you "DANK" i love you!
