David Derr Obituary

David Derr, 44, of New Jersey, formerly of Berwick, passed away Wednesday evening, June 20, 2007, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
Born, April 15, 1963, he was a son of Fred Derr and the late Margery (Seltzer) Youlls.
Mr. Derr was employed for many years at the Albert C. Wagner Youth Corrections Facility in New Jersey, from where he retired.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by stepfather, Dale Youlls; nephews, Joshua and Adam Grosz.
He is survived by his third wife, Susan Dowd; sons, David and Neil, both of New Jersey; daughter, Isabel Derr, of New Jersey; sisters, Cindy Becker, of Berwick, Patty Grosz, of Wapwallopen, and Susan Heller, of Mountain Top; brother, Ralph Derr-Crouse, of Berwick.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Kelchner-McMichael Funeral Home Inc., 119-121 E. Third St., Berwick, with Pastor Corvin Seltzer Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Emmanuel United Church of Christ Cemetery, Dorrance. Viewing hours will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
