Dave Neiman, 72, of Dallas, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, in Commonwealth General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He was surrounded by family and had a peaceful passing.
Born on March 23, 1953, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Frank and Leona Neiman.
Dave attended Gate of Heaven School and was a graduate of Dallas Area High School. He studied Automotive Technology at Williamsport Area Community College.
Dave enjoyed working on anything mechanical and was praised for his ability to fix everything. He was very creative and would teach you how to look at things in more than one way. He was employed at Howard Isaac's for 30 years, where he was known as "Burger."
Dave enjoyed his time volunteering with Boy Scouts of America as Cub Master and Scout Master of Pack and Troop 281 in Dallas. He received the District Award of Merit, which is the highest award given to volunteers in Scouting. Dave was very proud to help Scouts, especially his two sons, on their way to earning their rank of Eagle Scout.
Dave was a former President of NEPR-AACA, and he enjoyed showing his antique and classic cars while building connections within the community. Dave also loved dogs and would always have at least one by his side. Dave's greatest joy was helping children, especially around Christmas. He was a volunteer for Toys for Tots and loved to dress as Santa and would volunteer for numerous organizations. Dave would collect toys all year to donate.
He did everything with his wife of 45 years by his side. Together, they enjoyed adding to their collections, searching flea markets and auctions for treasures. Together they were an unstoppable team. He was an inspiration on how to be a great Dad, husband and Grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Neiman; son, Dave Neiman, wife Jackie; son, Steve Neiman, fiancée Abilene Nicholson; brother, Phillip Neiman; and his niece, nephews, and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of family at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Valley Santa Inc., Scouts BSA, or any veteran's organization.

I just met Beverly and her family at the General Hospital on October 1st for the first time on the day that David passed and entered Paradise. With everything on there mind they still took the time and talked to me when they saw I was struggling in my wheelchair. God bless them I kept my promise Beverly and prayed for David as soon as I got home. I continue to keep David in my prayers. May He rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing

How do you say goodbye to a man that lived his life with integrity and shared everything good with his family, friends and community. I never met a more active, supporting and loving family willing to help without reservation. Our hearts go out to Bev, Dave, Steve and their families at this most sorrowful time. We are proud to have been included in the family’s circle of friends. Rest in peace Dave.
