Dominick Pepe, 78, of Pittston Township, passed away peacefully Friday, June 27, 2025, surrounded by the two things he loved most: his family gathered on a Friday night and a Yankees win to send him off.
Born in Pittston in 1947, Dominick lived a life rooted in family, tradition and unwavering loyalty. He was a devoted husband, a proud father and a beloved PopPop.
He was the kind of man who never missed a Friday night dinner and always made sure everyone left with a full heart — never saying goodbye, only a warm "Thanks for coming." Whether sipping from his favorite Harley Davidson coffee mug or cheering on his team from his favorite chair, he brought warmth, laughter and a steady presence to every room.
Beyond his love for sports — especially Yankees baseball — Dominick cherished his weekends riding his motorcycle, a true expression of his independent spirit and love for the open road.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catheirne (Russo) Pepe; and his oldest son, Dominick Pepe Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores (Marco) Pepe; children, Lisa Pepe; and Anthony Pepe, and wife Judith; five grandchildren, Trina Ridley; Aaron Pepe and wife Mikayla; Alyssa Adkins and partner Corey Vancosky; Andrew Adkins and partner Kaitlyn Ceppa; and Grace and husband Greg Ellis. He is also survived by his sister, Joanne Schrader; goddaughter, Tracy and husband, John Labrosky; and numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dominick proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 372. He owned and operated his own general contracting company for 25 years before becoming an independent master electrician. Later, he served as a zoning and code enforcement officer for several municipalities.
His legacy lives on in the traditions he built, the stories he shared and the love he gave so freely.
