GLEN LYON — Dorothy M. Frinsko, age 97, formerly of Glen Lyon, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at the Kingston Health Care Center, Kingston.
She was born in Newport Township, Pa., on May 5, 1920, the daughter of the late Bolish and Stella (Wisinski) Urbanski. She was a life-time resident of Glen Lyon and was a member of the graduating class of 1938 of Newport Township High School.
She was employed in the local garment industry and also by the United States Postal Service during World War II. Dorothy was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Glen Lyon.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 47 years, Andrew Frinsko, who died on May 9, 1995; brother, Stanley Urbanski, and sister, Emma Jean Mitros.
Surviving are her daughter, Janice Howell and her husband, Harry, of Glen Lyon, and son, John Frinsko and his wife, Victoria, of Plano, Texas; five grandchildren, Laura and Daniel Frinsko, Heather Fritz, Amy Berneski and Lindsay Wilson; and one great-granddaughter, Ava Wilson.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, from the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., Glen Lyon. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. from Holy Spirit/St. Adalbert's Parish, Glen Lyon. Interment will be in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Glen Lyon. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. Monday until the time of service at the funeral home. The family would like to express its gratitude to Kingston Health Care Center and to Celtic Hospice for the excellent care and compassion given to Dorothy in her time of need.
