DUPONT — Fred Trzcinski of Endicott, N.Y., passed away on August 25, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Pauline Trzcinski of Dupont, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda J. Trzcinski, as well as his two sons, Stephen (Annie) Trzcinski and Mark (Leslee) Trzcinski. In addition, Fred was the proud grandfather of three beautiful girls, Sophia (Mark), Olivia and Emma (Stephen). Fred is also survived by a brother, Frank (Mary Bekanich) Trzcinski and a sister, Maureen (John) Forman. Fred was blessed to have been raised by two loving parents who sacrificed everything for their children. For Frank and Pauline Trzcinski, their children truly came first. Fred admits that any success in life that he enjoyed, he attributes directly to his parents and his wife. Fred's wife Linda was the love of his life and best friend (some will say his only friend.) Jokingly, but in reality, Fred would often say, "We were meant to be!" And so they were. Although greatly flawed, Fred did his best to live by the words of Stephen Covey, "Live, Love, Learn, Leave a Legacy." At Fred's request, there will be no services or memorial. Those who wish to make a contribution in Fred's name may do so to the charity of their choice.

To Fred, my chemistry lab partner at St John´s, who accidentally dropped hot sulphuric acid on my uniform shirt sleeve and loafer, at which time they instantly disolved, you are permanently etched in my memory (the red welts on my upper arm having long since healed). Rest in peace and the love of your dear friends and family.

Linda, I am so very sorry to hear of Fred's passing. His honesty, clarity, and commitment to compassion and justice have been inspiring to me. How greatly I appreciated his collegiality--and yours--as we sponsored the play about Rachel Corrie, and spoke up for a fairer world.
