Gwyneth Cook Obituary

Gwyneth S. Cook, 94, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018. She was born in Wilkes-Barre and was the daughter of Damaris Metsker Sturdevant and Preston J. Sturdevant, DDS, of Forty Fort.

Mrs. Cook attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and Drexel in Philadelphia. She was employed by Educational Testing Service in Princeton, N.J., and retired to Whiting, N.J. Mrs. Cook was a member of the Whiting United Methodist Church. She was the wife of a WWII veteran and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Mrs. Cook was predeceased by her husband, Warner Cook Sr., in 2010; her daughter, Damaris, in 2008; and her son, David, in 1973. She is survived by two sons and their wives: Warner Jr., and Linda Cook, of Quakertown, and Thomas S. and Jeanette Cook, of Aztec, N.M. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests considering a donation to Alzheimer's Association - Home Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

Arrangements are by the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ 08759.
