Joseph Laskowski, 75, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025.
Born in Swoyersville, Joe was the son of the late Bernard and Mary Laskowski.
He was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West and Bucknell University, where he wore #60 as defensive tackle. Joe found meaning through travel, deepening his faith along the way. In the summertime he loved trout fishing on the Lackawaxen and Leigh Rivers and spent winters in Florida, enjoying the sun and solitude in his van. He lived his life guided by his Catholic values, with unwavering conviction and grace.
Joe was a devoted brother, uncle and man of deep Catholic faith whose presence will be missed and remembered by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stanley.
Joe is survived by brothers, Robert and Bernie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hughes St., Swoyersville, Family and Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow after Mass.
