Dear Famiy:
I just learned of your loss yesterday and wish to convey my deepest sympathy to all. I remember Joe from Sherman College as a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stressful and drudgery filled place. He will be truly missed.

Gina, son, Mr. & Mrs. Matticks, MY heart is with all of you at this time. I think back of all the years Joey and Jay were friends and my son is very upset by his parting. I am in FL now on vacation with him and even though we are not in Scranton, our hearts are with you. Joey accomplished so much in his life. He rose up against the odds and became a doctor and that should make you proud. No one understands the reasons for what life hands out but think only of his accomplishments. I'm so sorry. You all will be in my prayers.

Joey was good friends with my brother Jason Profka. As a younger sister, I grew up have a big crush on Joey. I will always remember Joey being so well mannered, even as a little boy.
There is nothing I can say to take away your pain. I can only offer my deepest condolences.
