NANTICOKE — Julianna Mary Krupinski, 74, passed away Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2016, surrounded by family at Birchwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke.
Julianna was born on June 17, 1942, to Joseph and Mary Valenti-Gavrish. She attended Newport schools and was a member of St. Michael's and St. Adalbert's Church in Glen Lyon.
She worked as a secretary for Sedor Insurance; she was a bank teller at the Glen Lyon Bank, a secretary at St. Francis Church, Nanticoke, and also worked at the St. Faustina rectory until becoming ill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Krupinski, in 1993, and her uncle, Clem Gavrish, in 2016.
Surviving are her children, Anthony Krupinski and his wife, Tamara, of Nanticoke, Jeffrey Krupinski, of Woodruff, S.C., sister, Marie Stotler, of Malvern; grandchildren, Trahjan and Jacob Krupinski and Jeffrey and Tia Krupinski; and one great-grandchild, Tristan Watkins.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be sadly missed. Julianna's three boys, her four grandchildren and one great-grandchild were her pride and joy. She loved Sundays because her family always came over for her special dinners. She loved baking, reading and loved shopping on QVC.
Funeral services for Julianna will held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., Glen Lyon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit Parish, Market Street, Glen Lyon. Interment will follow in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Glen Lyon. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
