Maryann Daniel Obituary
WAPWALLOPEN — Maryann V. Daniel, 73, of Wapwallopen, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore.
She was born in Edwardsville on Sept. 21, 1941, a daughter of the late John and Lillian Jorda. Maryann was a graduate of West Side Central Catholic High School, class of 1959. Prior to retirement she was employed as a bookkeeper for the Luzerne Intermediate Unit.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Matilda Bogumil.
Maryann is survived by her husband of 51 years, Samuel R. Daniel; her son, Samuel D. Daniel and his wife, Kay, Wapwallopen; grandchildren, Samuel C. and Kyra Daniel; and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Maryann will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Stairville Cemetery, Dorrance Township. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Maryann's family would like to honor her memory by donating to several local charities. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home to the wishes of the family.
