Michael Wozniak Obituary
EDWARDSVILLE — Michael J. Wozniak, 66, of Edwardsville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was born in Edwardsville, son to the late Michael and Valerie Benesky Wozniak. Michael was a graduate of West Side Tech, and was employed at the Edwardsville Borough for 38 years before retiring at the age of 62.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Terri Wozniak, his loving and devoted daughter Carleena Wozniak, and his favorite boy Prince. Michael is also survived by his sister Christina Solfanelli, husband Jerry Solfanelli, nephew Nicholas Solfanelli of Pittston, and sister-in-law Tami Kearney and husband David Kearney, of Dunmore. Michael is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to give special thanks to Brad Frisbie, Rebecka Puza and Victoria Voyton for all of their support. The family would also like to thank cousin Michael Stager for many calls and visits and Michaels best friend Leonard Lengal for his visits and years of love and support.
Michael has been an outstanding member of his community, a devoted father and loving husband, a caring brother, an exceptional uncle, and an excellent friend to all those around him and he will be missed greatly.
Services will be held at the Kopicki Funeral Home at 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, PA 18704 on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Michaels name to any one of the many charities he supported including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, SPCA, The American Heart Association, and The American Lung Association.

I'm so deeply sorry to learn of Mike's passing. Since my kids and I are in extreme poverty we didn't learn of his passing till Friday via text.
I just arrived home this weekend after helping my elderly father with end stage spinal cancer so please forgive my late response.
As I myself had major surgery (total robotic laproscopic hysterectomy with salpingo oophorectomy) in June and I'm still struggling physically after having leg paralysis & a herniated disc extrusion upon my spinal nerve.
I have so many cherished memories of Mike & his empathetic loving demeanor.
Mike was always there to assist anyone in need especially my ex- husband David Hines. I recall many times how he was always helping at his rentals or at his double block home he shared with Mare Dugum. He was literally a gentle giant with a wonderful personality. He always asked others how they were doing & would light up a room simply by his genuine kindness & compassion.
A strong man with a strong mind & a gracious & loving heart of gold.
As a 20 year volunteer with both American Heart and American Lung Association it will be my pleasure & honor to donate to these charities in his name.
Please know that your entire family is in our thoughts & prayers & if The Hines (Gatcha) Family can help in anyway please don't hesitate to call us. May he rest in peace.

Very sad to learn of Mike's passing. He did an excellent job leading the Edwardsville Street Department the years I was the Borough Administrator, and as a young town leader, I learned a great deal from him. We remained friends for years afterwards. He was very devoted to his community and family. A truly good man!
