Nancy Przeworski Obituary

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Nancy E. Przeworski, of Virginia Beach, passed away on Oct. 13, 2015, at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Nanticoke, on Jan. 11, 1951, and graduated from Piscataway High School, Piscataway, New Jersey, and attended Newark State College, now Kean University.

Earlier in her career, Nancy was employed by PRMMI, Elizabeth, New Jersey, and Glen Burnie, Maryland. She was employed for the past 24 years with OOCL, Norfolk, Virginia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Jennie Przeworski, Nanticoke.

She is survived by her brother, Alan Przeworski, with his wife, Rebecca, Kingston; her sister, Barbara Machowski, with her husband, Joseph, Mountain Top; and her niece and godchild, Leigh Anne Machowski, Mountain Top.

A memorial service of celebration will be held in Virginia Beach at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to celebrate Nancy's love of animals can be made to the SPCA; or also the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, to help to find a cure for breast cancer.
