HUNLOCK CREEK — Ralph L. Gregory, 66, of Hunlock Creek, passed away Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, at his home, following a lengthy illness.
Born April 29, 1955, he was a son of the late Arthur and Arlene (Smith) Gregory. He was a graduate of Northwest Area High School and West Side Technical School where he trained as a machinist and welder.
He was employed at Nicholson Steam Trap Company, Wilkes-Barre, for 25 years, retiring due to becoming disabled in an accident.
Ralph loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed helping out at events for the hunting club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Theresa O'Dea, on July 7, 2005, following nearly 25 years of marriage.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Holly Boyer and husband, Stephen, of White Haven; brothers, Arthur Gregory and wife, Dena, of Shickshinny Lake, and Roger Gregory and significant other, Dawn Loberg, of Hunlock Creek; a sister, Darlene Taney and husband, Robert, of Bloomsburg; several nieces and nephews as well as his several close friends and neighbors. He will also be missed by his beloved granddog, Karma.
A private service will be held in the chapel at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township, with the Rev. Raymond D. Purdy Jr., pastor of Living Word Baptist Church, Red Rock, officiating.
Honoring Ralph's request, there will be no public viewing or calling hours. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Clarke Piatt Funeral Home Inc., Hunlock Creek.
