Richard Balon Obituary
MOUNTAIN TOP — Richard Balon, 48, husband, father, son, brother, uncle and dear friend to all, died peacefully on March 5, 2017, surrounded by his family.
Richard was born on Sept. 16, 1968, in Mountain Top, to father, James Balon, who preceded him in death and mother, Barbara Balon.
Richard graduated from Crestwood High School in 1986. He was married to Diane A. Balon (Kuklewicz) on Sept. 27, 1997. They were married 19 years.
He worked at Benco Dental, Pittston, as a customer service specialist for nearly 30 years. He loved spending time with his wife, children and family. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and was a car enthusiast.
Rich is survived by his wife, Diane; daughters, Mykenzie, 11, and Jazmin, 6; mother, Barbara; brother, Michael; mother and father-in-law, Chester and Stella Kuklewicz; and numerous sister-in-laws, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all their family and friends for their love and support, including the staff at Medical Oncology, Yale University and Mass General Hospital. Also, the family's hearts are full of gratitude and are eternally grateful to everyone at Benco Dental for their acts of support, kindness and loving care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at George A. Strish Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, memorial contributions can be sent to the family to help ease the financial burden and to be used for the children, c/o Diane Balon, 429 Thomas St., Mountain Top, PA 18707.
