WEST WYOMING — Robert (Bob) Anthony Begliomini, of West Wyoming, passed away March 18, 2018, two days before his 83rd birthday, after a short stay at Highland Manor Nursing Home in Exeter.
Born on March 20, 1935, he was the son of Oscar (Huck) and Celia (Pallini) Begliomini. He graduated from West Wyoming High School in 1952 and also attended the University of Scranton. In high school, he lettered in baseball, basketball and football. He also played baseball for the West Wyoming Skeeters. After meeting on a blind date, he married the love of his life, Barbara (Yanora) in 1960. They were happily married for 57 years and always at each other's side. He worked for Pomeroy's, Automatic Cigarette and United Parcel Service for many years. After he retired, he also worked at City Heights and Asepsis Infusion part time. He also served in the Army National Guard. Bob also served as a councilman for the borough of West Wyoming and was a founding member of the Wyoming Area Football Booster Club where he served as treasurer. Bob coached for the Wyoming/West Wyoming Little League for many years.
Bob was a member of St. Monica's Parish (Our Lady of Sorrows) in West Wyoming and served as an usher for many years. He was also a member of Emanon and Pine Hills golf leagues. As an avid New York Mets fan, Bob would spend countless hours watching and cheering for his beloved team. Bob was a kind-hearted man and loved to bring a smile to anyone he met.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas Begliomini. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Yanora); daughter, Lisa and husband, Dr. Joseph Stella, of Jenkins Township; son, Dr. Robert and wife, Joan, of Danielsville; grandchildren, Alyssa, Amanda and Joseph Stella, Alexis and Jessica Begliomini. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ali Chittala, Mary Pratz, Erin, Carla, Carol, Linda and the many nurses, aides and social workers at Celtic Hospice Care and Highland Manor for the wonderful care they provided Bob. We are forever grateful for their compassion and dedication to his needs.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Monica's Parish in West Wyoming. The family will receive friends and relatives in St. Monica's Parish, 363 W. 8th St., West Wyoming, from 9 a.m. until time of Mass on Wednesday morning. Private interment will be in St. Rocco's Cemetery, Pittston Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Monica's Church, 363 W. 8th St, West Wyoming, PA 18644 or Celtic Hospice and Home Health, 601 Wyoming Ave, Kingston, PA 18704.

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Bob. He was a good friend and co-worker. I guess the word "work"was the proper word for what we were supposed to do but I don't think we took that to serious. Bob was so proud of his family and then when the grandchildren came that made his life complete. He was a man I admired and look for advise.Barb you were the one who put the giddy up in his fastball. the 2 of you were the perfect couple Good bless
