Rosalie Wentz Obituary
NANTICOKE — Rosalie T. Wentz, 89, of Mountain View Drive, Nanticoke, died peacefully in her sleep Friday, Feb. 23, 2018.
Born in Wanamie, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret Gillis Skrinski. She was a graduate of Newport Township High School, Class of 1946. Rosalie was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Saint Faustina Parish in Nanticoke.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony, and sisters, Helen Vuoto, Mary Zuchowski and Catherine Bunting. Rosalie is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Edwin J. Wentz. She will also be fondly remembered by her daughters, Debra Massaker and husband, Kevin, of Nanticoke; Maria Maloney and husband, Joseph, of Wilkes-Barre; and her granddaughter, Margaret Harris and husband, Craig, of Hanover Township.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home at 614 Hanover St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. from Saint Faustina Parish. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Wanamie. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to an organization of your choice or perform an act of kindness for someone in need.
