Stephen Rosencrance Obituary

Stephen Rosencrance, 49, of Falls, died Thursday, April 29, 2010, in the Hospice Care of the VNA Inpatient Unit Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late Robert and Sarah Herron Rosencrance. He attended Wyoming Area schools. Stephen was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the Falls Lions Club and was an avid outdoorsman, loving to fish and hunt. Preceding him in death was a brother, Jeff. Surviving are his wife, the former Marion Coolbaugh; children, Sean and Adam, at home, and Kristin Long and her husband, Nicholas, Elmira, N.Y.; grandson, Trevin Long; brothers, Bob, Waymart, and Tom, Clarks Summit; sisters; Ellen Dymond, Falls; Penny Rosencrance, Falls; Debbie Doran, Clarks Summit, and Candy Rosencrance, Wyoming; as well as nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Metcalfe and Shaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Marion, I didn't know Stevie passed away until Saturday morning. I am so sorry we didn't make it to the viewing, we found out about it Sunday morning. Dad really wanted to be there.

Mare, I am so sorry for your loss and I am so so sad to hear this news. I didnt even know Stevie was sick and my heart aches that I couldn't be there to help and lend my support in any way. I always loved him and you. I will miss his smile and his wonderful sense of humor! God bless you and your kids.

Mair, my heart goes out to you on the loss of Steve. I know there are no words that I can say to ease your pain and the loss you are feeling. I just hope you find comfort through your children, grandchild, family and friends. Steve was a great guy and will be missed by many.
