From the moment I met Wesley over 40 years ago I knew instantly that I was in the company of a very special person. His radiant smile and sincere interest in our conversation let me know he was one of the few people I would remember forever.
We went on to continue our friendship when I became a member of the Board of the Osterhout Free Library and we served together for many years with Wesley becoming President of the Board and our eventually both becoming Directors Emereti, continuing what began so many years before when we first met. I will always remember his gentlemanly ways which are what drew me to him in the beginning. Prayers and blessings to the Simmers family. RIP dear friend.

From my earliest memories of Grant St. Presbyterian Church, Wesley B and Miriam are among my fondest recollections. Wesley B. was one of my early Sunday School teachers, a constant presence in the choir with his amazing Welsh voice, and an incomparable asset to the Board of Trustees and Session. I could always count on him to offer a smile and a welcoming hug when I came back to W-B. May he rest in peace, knowing he was loved and will be missed.
