WEST PITTSTON — William A. Javer, 76, of West Pittston, formerly of Harveys Lake, passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at Celtic Hospice, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Harveys Lake, he was the son of the late Tony and Helen Brin Javer. He was a graduate of Lake Noxen School in 1959 and later attended Williamsport Technical Institute where he received a degree as a machinist and tool and die maker.
The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake. Interment will be at Perrego Cemetery, Harveys Lake. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Bill's family would like to thank Jane from Home Sweet Home; all of the staff at Senior Adult Daycare, Plains; the staff and therapy department at Highland Manor; nurses at Celtic Hospice; and the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center staff and doctors for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
