James Tramposh Obituary

With deep gratitude and heavy hearts, On July 27th, 2025, James (Jim) Tramposh, passed away in Edmond, OK. James was born in Adak Alaska on September 16th, 1952. Jim was truly one of a kind. A gentle giant, whose presence lit up every room, whose laughter echoed through every gathering, and whose love left a lasting imprint on every soul lucky enough to know him. He was a great husband, a devoted dad and stepdad, and a loyal friend. He had that rare gift, the kind of spirit that drew people in. Everyone wanted to be around him. He listened, he laughed, he helped and he loved. He was the guy that made you feel like you belonged. His sense of humor was legendary. Whether he was cracking jokes, or flashing that mischievous grin, he reminded us all not to take life too seriously. He was a kid at heart, and that youthful joy never faded. It showed up in every game of disc golf, every swing of the softball bat, every dart thrown, every foosball game, every splash in the pool, and in every beat of music he loved.

He was a man of many talents and hard work. He laid carpet for many years leaving behind not just floors but stories to be told. He drove a bus for Norman Public Schools, having multiple hats behind the wheel for all children onboard. He framed artwork at Hobby Lobby, helping others preserve beauty just as he did for life. Jim was a simple man who loved his family without condition or judgement. He was the rock that everyone leaned on.

Survived by his wife, Kimberly Tramposh, his son Jason Jones of Andrews, Texas; his grandson, Dylen Jones, and great-grandson, Cash Jones of Paris TX. His stepson, Dustin Campbell of Tulsa, OK; granddaughters Cambry Campbell and Elive Campbell and stepson Jack Campbell of Jones, OK. And many other family members. We will miss his laugh, we will miss his stories, his hugs, and his words saying "I Love you", but we will carry him with us in every game we play, every song we hear, and in our hearts.

We miss you and love you Jim, Jimbo, Jameson and Dad
