Larry Linta Obituary
Beaver Falls, PA - Larry George Linta, 74, of Beaver Falls, PA passed away on Saturday, January 30th, 2021. He was born December 24,1946 at Providence Hospital in Beaver Falls, PA and was the son of the late Michael & Vivian R. (Yoho) Linta. He was a proud graduate of Beaver Falls High School in 1964. He attended The University of Pittsburgh for a few years before moving forward with Conrail Railroad in Conway, PA.
He retired from Conrail Railroad as a Yard Master.
He was President of the Beaver Falls High School Football Booster Club from 1991-1992. Larry was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Larry was an Ordained Minister for some time where he served others and was a huge advocate for the MS Society. Larry battled MS himself for about 20 years and was a true warrior! He is survived by his son Jason Linta, (retired USAF Master Sergeant) & daughter-in-law Audrey Linta as well as his second son Jordan Linta. Continuing his survival is his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Nadia Cannick (Linta), Jayden Linta, Olivia Linta and Alora Linta . He is also survived by his older brother James M. Linta, MD and sister-in-law Nancy Linta of Dayton, OH and numerous relatives and dear friends. His greatest joy in life is when he became a Pap-Pap to his great grandson Kyree Josiah Michael Cannick.
He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Larry G. Linta due to Covid restrictions. More information will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the MS Society. The family requests if any family or friends have any memories, stories or photos you would like to share to please email them to [email protected].

Larry and I became friends at BVCC , we caddied together there in those BFHS years of 63-65 . We hitchhiked straight through Pa. to Atlantic City , Nj. for a few days in the summer of 65', just for the adventure .
We spent the summer of 66' at Geneva on the Lake , OH. around each other , we shared many good times and many beers .
He visited me several times in Youngstown when I lived there and also came to Cape Cod to visit for a short while in the summer of 68' . We worked together for a short while at a good resteraunt there near Chatham .
Larry was always entertaining and fun , a charismatic personality in many ways . We had some great times together and now it seems he's on another road trip and it should be fun . Later man .
