Allen lived on the outer perimeter of Riverside Park. He was pretty much a loner. Probably an intellectual. Definitely, an Eagle Scout. I'm sure at times he felt like Homer Hickman dreaming of a larger universe beyond the sky he lived under. I see that his sister resides in Huntsville, Alabama. That would have been a logical landing spot for Allen. One of the nation's science hotspots. I hope his employer appreciated him and his talent. I am always saddened to see when someone passes just before or after their retirement. My thoughts go out to his family. With sincere sadness and respect - Gene Turney
