David Willis Obituary
74 of Wood Rd., Carrollton died unexpectedly in his home Monday, May 6, 2013. Born Feb, 2, 1939 in Canton he was a son of the late William Palmer and Anna Margaret Morehead Willis. Dave was a retired supervisor for the Carroll County Highway Department. He was a member of the Carrollton American Legion and VFW. He was also a member of Carroll Masonic Lodge #124.
He is survived by wife, former Shirley Maple whom he married Sept. 22, 1959; one son, David (Amy) Willis of Salineville; one daughter, Peggy (Carl) Smith of Amsterdam; two grandchildren, Melinda Beckley and Zane Smith; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Willis of California and Gary Willis of Arizona. Dave was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Graveside memorial services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Harlem Springs Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Smith officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the American Legion, VFW, and DAV. Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
