James Moore Obituary

James Eugene Moore, Jr.
age 58, of Scio, Ohio passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 in his residence. He was born Jan. 2, 1952 in Canton, Ohio. He was the son of the late James Eugene Moore, Sr. and Lura "Marjorie" (Mathews) Miller. He was a self-employed mason, excavator, dairy and beef farmer who enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, tractor pulling and most of all his grandchildren. He was an avid motor-cyclist and enjoyed riding horses. He was a graduate of Carrollton High School class of 1970.
He is survived by four sons, Henry (Stephanie) Moore and their children, daughters Mia, Malina and son Isaac of Scio, Ohio, Jimmy (Paula) Moore and their children, sons Colby, Gabriel, and daughter Pheobe of Amsterdam, Ohio, Matthew (Melissa) Moore and their children, daughter McKenna, sons Micah, Maddox and future son Myles of New Philadelphia, Ohio and Jacob Moore of Lewis Center, Ohio; two daughters, Bobbie Jo (Dale) Moore-Tinlin and their daughter Brandie Jo of Harlem Springs, Ohio and Bethanie (Chett) Moore-Peters and their children, son Lane and daughter Sage of Uhrichsville, Ohio; three brothers, Kevin (Katrina) Moore of Carrollton, Ohio, Kenneth (Amanda) Moore of Uhrichsville, Ohio and Karl (Erica) Moore of Carrollton, Ohio and one sister, Jennifer (Jesse) Haas of Carrollton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Moore.
At Jim's request the Funeral Service will be Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the residence, 2165 Aster Road, Scio, Ohio with Kenny Morrison officiating. A horse-drawn hearse will be used to carry Jim from his home past the farm as part of the funeral procession. Burial will follow in Hopedale Cemetery. The family will greet friends and family with an open house from 3-8 p.m. at the residence Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010.
