Matilda "Irene" Gotschall (nee Hicks)
1925-2016
91, formerly of Dover, Ohio, passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Home, Middletown, Ohio. She was born Saturday, July 18, 1925 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late John R. and Anna B. (nee May) Hicks. Irene retired from Scio Pottery Company in Scio, Ohio. She was a longtime member of Dover Alliance Church until her move to West Chester, Ohio in 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Gotschall; and sisters, Alice Winzinreid, Dorothy Malone and Laura "Susie" Hauser. Irene is survived by her brother, John (Joyce) Hicks; many nieces and nephews; and canine companion, Beau.
A Public Graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens with Pastor Richard Rose officiating. There are no calling hours. Visit MuellerfuneralS.com to send online condolences.
