Patsy I. Bowman
Age 82, of Magnolia, passed away Friday morning in Aultman Compassionate Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Stone Creek, Ohio, a daughter of the late Elmer and Laura (Zimmerman) Metzger, and had been a resident of the East Sparta area since 1948. She was a 1948 graduate of Stone Creek High School where she was a cheerleader and drum major of the band. Patsy was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, and had been a member of the Sandy Valley Junior Woman's Club and had been a Den Mother for Pack #38 in East Sparta. Preceded in death by a brother and sister, Eugene Metzger and Mary Kinsey.
Survived by her husband, William H. Bowman, with whom she celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on April 26; she was a devoted mother and grandmother, which gave her the most pleasure in life, and is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Scot and Mary Bowman, and Todd and Becky Bowman, all of Magnolia; six grandsons, Jacob, Scot II, Isaac, Josh, Brock, and Jack; one sister, Betty Ott Fisher, of Venice, Fla. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church with Pastor John Maroni officiating. Interment in Bowman Cemetery in Pike Township. Family and friends may call Sunday 2-4 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia and Monday 10-11 a.m. at the church.
