Steven Starkey Obituary

Steven L. Starkey

60 of Zanesville, passed away Thursday May 17, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 17, 1958 in Canton, Ohio a son of Eleanor Viertel Starkey Kerns of Bolivar, Ohio and the late Richard Starkey. He was a manager at Community Loan Company in Zanesville, a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and on the Christian Education Committee. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and was a lifetime member of the OSU Alumni Association and Muskingum County Chapter and enjoyed OSU Sports and golfing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Debra Adams Starkey; one daughter, Krista Starkey and one son, Gregory Starkey, all of Zanesville; his siblings, Lynette Starkey of Akron, Ohio, Richard (Tanya) Starkey of West Salem, Ohio and Jennifer Starkey of Windsor, Calif; nieces and nephews, Kevin (Erin) Spring, Julie (Daniel) Richardson, Kandis Starkey, Richard Starkey and Jenna Starkey; sister-in-law, Sharon Spring. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother-in-law, John Spring and father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Freda Adams

Memorial contributions may be made to The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Muskingum County, PO Box 146 Zanesville, OH 43701 or Genesis Cancer Unit. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 on Monday May 21, 2018 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 22, 2018 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Dennis Allison and Rev. Mark Unrue officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
