United States Navy Veteran
TOWN OF HERKIMER- Brad A. Riesel, 49, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021.
Born on July 27, 1971, in Ilion, Brad graduated from Herkimer High School and was a US Navy Veteran. Brad, a carpenter by trade and an outdoorsman, enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.
Brad married Bridget Wellington, on May 30, 2010, at the Indian Castle Church, Danube. Brad and Bridget dedicated themselves to building their dream home, referred to as "Riesel Ridge."
Survivors include his wife, Bridget; mother, Lynda (Layaw) and step-father, Anthony Fosella; daughter, Alanah (Randy Brokaw); grandson, Bodhi; son, Alexander; step-daughter, Rachelle Willoughby (Frank Berbrick); daughter-in-laws, Amy and Danielle Allen (Josh Lord); brother, Chad (Stacey Woods); step-sister, Estelle Fosella (Gary Smith); several in-laws, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his father, Alan Riesel; friend, Kirk Rando; step-son, Ian Wellington; and cousin, Lesa Dickenson.
A memorial service will be announced in the future.
Arrangements are under the care of Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY 315-866-1500.
In lieu of flowers, Brad's family asks that memorial contributions be made to the East Herkimer Fish and Game Club, PO Box 308, Herkimer, NY 13350.
