David H. Parsons 1933 - 2016
BLUFF CITY, TN - David H. Parsons, 83, of Bluff City, TN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol TN.
Predeceased by his parents, Hilda (Edick) and Miles Parsons, and sister, Mary Bunce, David was a born on July 23, 1933, in Sherburne, NY. He was a graduate of Ilion High School and a proud veteran of the US Air Force, 1952-1956. David retired from Univac/Unisys, where he worked for 30 years, first in Utica and then Tennessee.
Dave loved to travel, making fond memories with his family, especially to Florida and Myrtle Beach, SC. Dave is survived by his wife, Jean Parsons, Bluff City, TN; three daughters, Sandra (Larry) Goforth, Spencerport, NY, Brenda (Tim) Murphy, Port St. Lucie, FL, and Judy McClouskey, of Herkimer; their mother, Joan Parsons, Herkimer, NY; stepsons, Brian Buchanan, Blountville, TN, and Jeff Buchanan, TX; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Burger) Wiles, Leigh Burger and fiancée, Chad Kenyon, Kristen (Burger) and Adam Roberts, Melissa (McClouskey) and Arthur Bayna, Mike (Jeannie) Higgins, Katherine Murphy, Kristina (Murphy) and Ben Devlin, and Michael Murphy; eight great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Don Bunce, Ilion; the Weber and Schrader families; and many friends who will miss him.
Mr. Parsons and his family are in the care of Blevins Funeral Services, www.BlevinsCares.com.
At Dave's request, he will be will be buried in a private graveside service at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Johnson City, TN, along with his fellow veterans. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.

I know you were only my step-grandfather but I will always remember you as my poppy. I am so thankful to have had you in my life. Although I have many wonderful memories as a child thanks to you I wish we could have been closer. I am happy that you are in a better place and I hope you will check in on me from time to time to make sure I stay the course. I miss you.
