Maurice E. Everett 1946 - 2016
NEWPORT - Maurice E. Everett, 70, of Hawthorne Road, died on May 1, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, after being stricken at home.
Mr. Everett was born on April 26, 1946, in Little Falls, a son of the late Maurice W. and Catherine (Wikoff) Everett. He was raised in St. Johnsville and received his education there. In 1963, Maurice enlisted in the U. S. Navy, where he served during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1967, at the rank of Storekeeper-Petty Officer 3rd Class. Maurice worked as a warehouse supervisor, in Rochester, and later in California. After returning to this area, he resided in Middleville, and for the past several years lived with his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and William Maxwell, in Newport.
Survivors besides Linda and Bill, include one daughter, Peggy Lawrence, and her fiancé, Jomar Aponte, of Rochester; and four grandchildren, Chelsea Everett, Danielle Lawrence, and Joseph and Adalina Aponte.
There will be no formal services. Arrangements are entrusted to the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport.
