Alex,

There's not a day that goes by without the thought of you. Ski season's almost over, and this year I did't join the school's club because my best friend in it wasn't be there with me. It just wouldn't be the same at all: sliding down the slopes and just messing around on the bus, shooting spit ablls at the TVs with Bobby (: I love you bro, we all do. You're uniqueness and great personality is absolutely irreplaceable. Keep us safe man, I know you will. Goodbye for now.

To the Gaston Family,

It is with a heavy, heavy heart I write this and send my condolences to the family of Alexander. May his entire family find peace at this most trying time. I have found peace in the following prayer and I would like to share it with you.

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free.
Miss me a little but not too long
And not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me-but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends you know. And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, Miss me-but let me go.

God Bless the entire Gaston Family.

Alex,
Not a day has gone by that I haven't thought of you. Since the first day I met you in middle school, you always had me laughing. I'll always remember that time I was crazy about you in 6th grade, and how you were always telling me to wear my hair curly when everyone else liked it straight, or how in bio I could look at you and guarantee you were either laughing, sleeping, or getting ready to throw something at me. I'll always cherish the cup you made me in tech for my birthday and our memories. You were such a great guy, you had so much potential, and I'll miss you so much. It just wont be the same without you. Loving and thinking of you forever<3

You are free now to walk in paradise, a sea of tranquility on clouds across the stars chasing the wind. Did you find your wings?

Words can't express the sorrow I feel in knowing that you'll have to endure the loss of another child. I'm finding myself sitting here trying to explain to my own son Alexander why his father is looking at him and crying. To the Gaston Family,
I sat with Alex every other day in lunch this year. I remember him placing his cell phone on the table, and spinning it by the antennae to get service, so he could send a text. Being the only girl at the table, it was awkward sometimes, but he always said Hi to me, and talked to me. I've known him since the fourth grade, and he was such a nice kid, and whenever I saw him he was always smiling. Though we were never very close, it's hard to imagive going back for my senior year, and not seeing him in the halls. My deepest condolences and may he rest in peace.
