Alice M. Reidenbach

Reidenbach, Alice M. NORTH GREENBUSH Alice Marie Mazza Reidenbach, age 89, beloved wife of more than 62 years of Carl Reidenbach, died on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in the Bronx, Alice was the daughter of the late Frederick and Beatrice McDonald Mazza. She was educated in Bronx schools and was a graduate of Hunter College in New York City and Troy Business College. She also attended Bryant and Stratton College in Albany. Mrs. Reidenbach was employed for 42 years by Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush in the business office as assistant to the business manager, retiring in 2007. She resided in North Greenbush for more than 60 years. Mrs. Reidenbach was a longtime communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Church in North Greenbush, a member of the Ladies of the Elks, Troy Lodge 141, the St. Jude the Apostle Church Rosary Altar Society in Wynantskill and worked as a volunteer for St. Jude's bingo. The family would like to thank the staff of Van Rensselaer Manor and especially the staff of 3C at the Manor for the kind care they gave Alice. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her children, Carla (Lloyd) Reidenbach Wevang of Troy and Michael (Tracy) Reidenbach of Alpharetta, Ga.; her brother, Monsignor Louis J. Mazza, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Sleepy Hollow; and her grandchildren, Paul Mohl of Tampa, Fla. and Rachael Wevang of Troy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be from the Thomas S. Connolly Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview, Wynantskill on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Michael the Archangel Church, where the main celebrant will be her brother, Monsignor Mazza for a Mass of Christian Burial. The Mass will be concelebrated by the Rev. James M. Mackey, former pastor and sacramental minister at St. Michael's. Burial will follow in Bloominggrove Cemetery, North Greenbush. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. Donations to the Van Rensselaer Manor Activities Fund, 85 Bloomingrove Drive, Troy NY 12180 in memory of Alice would be appreciated.
