Allen Hendrie Obituary

Hendrie, Allen Wayne BALLSTON LAKE Allen Wayne Hendrie, 79, of Sweet Brier Drive, died on Wednesday April 4, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Saratoga Springs on March 22, 1939, and was the beloved husband of the late Constance Hendrie, who died on October 10, 2015. He was a graduate of Union College in Schenectady and had retired from G.E. in Waterford where he was a systems analyst; had worked there for over 30 years. Allen enjoyed gardening, music and reading. He was a sports enthusiast who loved his N.Y. Mets. He is the devoted father of Scott A. Hendrie and Jennifer (Al) Eldridge both of Clifton Park; brother of Brian Hendrie of Amsterdam and Carol Hendrie; cherished grandfather of Justin, Emily, Matthew and Megan; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9, Clifton Park. A calling hour will precede the funeral service.
