Anthony Tocco Obituary

LOUDONVILLE Anthony Tony V. Tocco, 75, passed away to his loving Lord Jesus Christ, peacefully and with dignity on Saturday, May 27, 2006. Tony was born on September 22, 1930 in Albany to his loving mother, the late Stella Whimple. Tony was a life long Albany resident and attended Albany High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. After returning, he worked for several trucking firms including, Grand Union and then retiring from Ackroyd Roofing Company in 1985. Tony was predeceased by his wife, Frances M. Leonard Tocco. Tony was a devout Christian. He believed with his heart that Jesus died on the cross for his sins. He spent many hours reading the Word of God and sharing wonderful conversations about his beliefs. He was an excellent prayer warrior for family, friends, neighbors and even total strangers that needed prayers and spiritual guidance. With Tony's faith, He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. (Psalm Chap. 1, ver. 3) Tony is survived by his loving sons, Anthony V. Tocco, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Colonie and Gary Tocco and his wife, Lonna of Nevada; his adored grandchildren, Antonia Tocco and Anthony V. Tocco IV both of Colonie; his step- grandchildren, Jeff, Dan, Erick, Barlow all of Colonie and John C. Dillon of Albany; his dear brother, Joe Tocco and his wife, Margaret of Florida and his loving sister, Delores Close of Colonie. Several cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law also survive. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. All are welcomed at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to proceed to Our Lady of Angels Cemetery for the interment. Dear Tocco Family:

We went to church with your mom Fran and remember when Tony committed his life to the Lord. They were both very much loved.

May the peace of God keep you and the Holy Spirit bring comfort to each of your hearts.
