WATERVLIET - Catherine B. Kilian, 93, of Watervliet, died March 12, 2025, at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, where she resided for the past several months.
She was born in Watervliet, on January 5, 1932, the daughter of the late William and Edna Bunk. She married Thaddeus Kilian on April 16, 1955, and shared with him 30 years of marriage until his passing on April 18, 1985.
Mrs. Kilian is survived by her son, Deacon Thomas (Mary Lou) Kilian of Victor, N.Y.; her daughter, Karen (Jack Heers) Kilian of Watervliet; her grandchildren, Benjamin Kilian, Jonathan Kilian, Molly Shepard, Melissa Weir, and Stephanie Kilian; and by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and dear friends, Emerson and Carol Gilbert. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by two sons, Mark in 2004 and Timothy in 2024; her brother, William Bunk; and two sisters, Bernadette Smola and Carol Shepard.
Mrs. Kilian was a dedicated parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Watervliet. She was devoted to her family, her friends, and her faith. She worked as an accounts clerk for the Watervliet School District for many years, and also helped to provide home care for elderly friends.
